From Customer to Ambassador: How Polina Supports International Students

For Polina Blagoobrazova, supporting international students is more than a role, it’s personal.

As a current international student inGermany and former Fintiba customer, Polina understands first-hand how overwhelming the journey to studying abroad can feel and uses that experience to guide others.

A Long-Standing Commitment to Student Support

Polina’s involvement in student communities started in 2018, when she took on a leadership role within a United States government funded initiative that provides official guidance on studying abroad. There, she worked closely with volunteers, supported families, created informational resources, and represented the initiative at education fairs.

These early experiences shaped her long-standing commitment to helping students navigate international education with confidence.

Turning Experience Into Impact at Fintiba

When Polina decided to study in Germany, her focus naturally shifted. Going through the visa process and Blocked Account setup herself created a strong connection to Fintiba’s mission. What began as a customer experience soon turned into active involvement as an Ambassador supporting students who were about to take the same steps.

In 2025 alone, Polina shared over 1,500 detailed replies to student questions and hosted 27 webinars, guiding international students through key steps of their journey to Germany. Fluent in Russian, English, and German, she connects with students in a way that feels approachable and genuine.

“What I appreciate most, though, isn’t something you can measure yet it’s what makes people stay in the community and be confident in their choice of Fintiba. It's trust and gratitude. Many Fintiba customers reached out on my birthday recently to say I had helped make their integration easier - that’s how I know I’m truly making an impact.”

Combining Analytical Thinking With Empathy

Alongside her community engagement, Polina Blagoobrazova studies Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. Her analytical mindset complements her community work.

When visa waiting lists were introduced and no transparent tracking existed, she identified the gap and built a shared analytics table to estimate average waiting times. This small but impactful project helped many students make more informed decisions during a stressful period.

Looking ahead, Polina remains focused on strengthening and growing the international student community by combining analytical problem-solving with empathy, lived experience, and a genuine desire to help others succeed in Germany.
