To ensure that we can continue investing in the innovation that makes Fintiba’s services truly outstanding, we’ll be introducing a global price normalisation on 3 November 2025.

At the same time, Fintiba has continuously brought innovations to the market. We were among the first to introduce video identification and blocked accounts for minors, and we expanded our services to support customers from high-risk countries. With the launch of the Fintiba Plus package, we created an all-in-one insurance solution and even began offering free travel health insurance.
Through instant blocking confirmations via credit card, we enabled customers to secure their blocked accounts within minutes – when time matters most. We also built multilingual support across multiple platforms to make our services more accessible and user-friendly.
All these innovations have significantly accelerated and simplified the process for internationals coming to Germany.

What This Means for You
We know that studying or working abroad is a major financial commitment. That’s why we approach this change with transparency and fairness. From the 3rd of November 2025, new Fintiba Blocked Accounts will follow an updated pricing structure, which includes an initial opening fee of €159 and a monthly fee of €9.90. The same fees also apply to our blocked account re-openings. These adjustments reflect the continuous improvements and investments we make to ensure the best possible service experience.
If you already have an active blocked account with Fintiba, no changes will apply to you. Your current pricing remains valid until the end of your existing contract.
This step ensures that we can continue to provide a service you can rely on – while expanding and improving the features that truly matter for internationals: simplicity, security, and long-term support.
By aligning our prices with the value we deliver, we are building the foundation for a service that continues to evolve – so every student coming to Germany can benefit from an even smoother and more secure experience.
